Lamination

Lamination is the process of applying a thin, clear plastic film (laminate) to a printed surface using heat and pressure. It also improves the visual appeal, often by adding a glossy, matte, or "soft touch" (velvet-like) finish that can deepen colors and provide a more premium feel.

How It Works:

  1. Preparation : Selecting laminating film rolls, Depending on customers requirement.
  2. Heat Activation : Heated rollers melt the film's heat-activated adhesive as the item passes through.
  3. Pressure and Bonding : Pressure rollers press the melted adhesive onto the printed surface, bonding the laminate securely.
  4. Cooling and Finishing : The laminated item cools, hardening the adhesive. It's then trimmed.

Benefits:

  1. Protective layer enhances the durability of the printed material
  2. Improves the visual appeal
  3. Adds luxurious and distinctive feel
  4. Compatible with paper, film, plastic, and foil surfaces
