Lamination is the process of applying a thin, clear plastic film (laminate) to a printed surface using heat and pressure. It also improves the visual appeal, often by adding a glossy, matte, or "soft touch" (velvet-like) finish that can deepen colors and provide a more premium feel.
How It Works:
- Preparation : Selecting laminating film rolls, Depending on customers requirement.
- Heat Activation : Heated rollers melt the film's heat-activated adhesive as the item passes through.
- Pressure and Bonding : Pressure rollers press the melted adhesive onto the printed surface, bonding the laminate securely.
- Cooling and Finishing : The laminated item cools, hardening the adhesive. It's then trimmed.
Benefits:
- Protective layer enhances the durability of the printed material
- Improves the visual appeal
- Adds luxurious and distinctive feel
- Compatible with paper, film, plastic, and foil surfaces
